We are seeking a process expert to help us “implement sustainable process improvements that reduce uncertainty and improve throughput.” Qualified candidates will be engineering thinkers who enjoy complicated problems with lots of variables and apparent uncertainty. Technical aptitude is important, but so are leadership/communication and critical thinking skills.

We need someone who is ready to really make a difference.

Qualified Candidates Will Have Ability To …

  • Analyze our manufacturing processes and identify drivers of variation that reduce throughput and quality.
  • Propose process improvements to reduce variation and improve throughput. Employ a toolbox of skills and techniques such as Kaizen, 5S, Flow, and Lean Manufacturing to drive improvement.
  • Lead problem solving teams to implement solutions. Use visual management systems and lean tools (A3, 5S, etc.) to drive continuous improvement and empower team members to manage their own output & quality.
  • Monitor/Audit manufacturing processes/inputs for any variable that may impact quality or throughput (new input materials and new/changed processes) to assure that quality & throughput are maintained.
  • Propose quality requirements for manufacturing processes and finished product outputs where requirements are lacking (incl. standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation).
  • Assist with quality planning for any new product launches.

Position Requirements:

  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in one of the following engineering disciplines -Manufacturing, Mechanical, Plant, Electrical or Chemical or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years actual process engineering experience or quality responsibilities that include process improvement piece. Management of larger system process control a plus. Working knowledge of ISO 9000, quality tools, and lean manufacturing. Preference given to Lean Green or Blackbelt.
